Sim Bhullar has committed to Xavier

GTAhoops — BREAKING: Sim Bhullar has committed to Xavier, as first reported by The Recruit Scoop.

“I chose Xavier because I loved my visit,” Bhullar told HeardThisBlog.com. “I had fun with all the guys on the team, and the coaches were great. It was just the place for me.”

Bhullar is an absolute behemoth, and although he is still a raw basketball player, his potential is through the roof. “Within five feet, I can pretty much score really well,” Bhullar said. “On defense, I think my best asset is my shot-blocking.  I’m already up there [by the rim], so it’s easy for me.”
It’s hard to find a comparison for this kid, besides his brother Tanveer.  No other Division I prospect is this massive.  Originally from India, Bhullar moved to Toronto, and now plays high school ball in Huntington, West Virginia.
He noted that his parents didn’t really have much say in his decision.
“My parents don’t really know much about college basketball,” Bhullar noted. “They are from India, so it was pretty much my decision.”
As for where his highly-touted brother Tanveer will end up, it still remains to be decided. “He will make his own decision,” Bhullar said. “I’m not going to decide for him. He may or may not go to Xavier, that will be up to him.”
